Parsley

Petroselinum crispum, Parsley is a rich source of Vitamin C. Medicinally parsley is used as a diuretic that helps the body eliminate excess water, an emmenagogue  which is used to stimulate menstrual process, and also a carminative which eases flatulence and accompanying colic pains. Parsley counteracts halitosis (bad breath) and poor digestion, with a refreshing green color makes it an exceptional garnish.

Caution:  not advisable during pregnancy and should not be used by nursing mothers because it dries up milk.
